Reclaimed pewter

TROUPE consists of 350 shrimp tails, made from melted down pewter drinking vessels and servingware, and sticking out of the wall like so many small, pointy hooks poised to catch on things. Some of these tails are from shrimp I ate myself, some were saved from other people's plates. Destined for the discard pile, the tails were temporarily diverted and made solid again through the casting process, now existing as sculptures situated somewhere between worlds of art and commodity.
